GOVERNOR "CUSTOM" made bats are manufactured to suit the customers requirements/specifications, taking into consideration shape, weight, backlift and balance, blade and handle length, handle shape, cleft grain and heart colouring, etc.  Available in Grades One and Two English willow.

Encore

GOVERNOR "ENCORE" bats are stock bats, rather than custom made, but still come in a variety of cleft grades  and weights, etc.

Willow Cleft Specification

Grade One:
Should be straight grained with not more than 25mm of colour on the heart edge.

Grade Two:
Grain a little less regular with up to 40mm colour.

Grade Three:
Similar to grade two, with up to 60mm colour and possibly some speck.
