Peter Fulton re-wrote the record book with his monumental 301 not out, from 445 balls, 45 fours and 3 sixes, for Canterbury against Auckland at Hagley Park on Tuesday 4th March, 2003.  Peter scored the sixth triple ton by a New Zealander and the first in 50 years.  It is also the highest maiden century ever scored by a New Zealander.
